Enjoying Happy Hour in Midtown Manhattan with Arlo Hotel

by Ruben Trevor

Midtown features several great bars. And these bars often host happy hours, which is really the best time to have a cocktail. The drinks are cheaper, the appetizers enticing, and it’s the perfect way to end (or start) the evening. At Arlo Hotel we’re often directing our guests to a drinking and eating spot that best suits their needs. Here are some of our midtown favorites.

Henry’s Rooftop Bar a great secret spot in Midtown East. It features great views of 47th Street, with patrons sitting 16 stories up and enjoying fresh air and great music. With exposed brick walls and a gorgeous oak bar, it’s an unpretentious speakeasy-style place to unwind after a day of fun.

Of course, the two best rooftop bars in the city are at our NoMad and SoHo locations. At Arlo SoHo our rooftop bar is open year-round, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Our guests enjoy the views of the Hudson and the Freedom Tower, which dominates the skyline of downtown. With craft beer, signature cocktails, and delightful small plates, it’s a spot our guests love to visit for conversation and meeting new friends. Our Arlo NoMad rooftop bar puts you up high at 31 stories, giving you great views of the Empire State Building and the skyline. It offers guests an eclectic mix of cocktails and Middle Eastern finger foods, and blends in our famous glass floor which gives our brave guests the chance to float above the city.

Clinton Hall on 51st Street is another of our favorites. From Monday through Friday, the bar offers a four-hour happy hour, where guests can enjoy a fine beer garden and selection of taps and play special games with beer themes. It’s a great spot to relax and talk about the day’s adventures exploring Manhattan.
